January 2008 Wednesday, January 2"Find Your Passion, Energize Your Story" Past President Sandra Kischuk presented her dynamic, interactive workshop, "Find Your Passion, Energize Your Story", (previously presented at the FWA annual conference). The exercises are designed to help you tap into your individuality to bring your characters to life. February 2008 Wednesday, February 6 TWA featured our annual presentation by the Carrollwood Players doing a creative reading of the winning scripts from the entries from the previous years writing competition. As usual, it was a great evening with the authors present to hear their words come to life. March 2008 Wednesday, March 5 If there is one thing that TWA members know how to do, it's party...and all we keep doing is getting better at it! The potluck always brings in old favorites and wonderful surprises. Sandra Kischuk's "Party Central" provided a wonderful place to gather this spring. Looking forward to another gathering in a few months! April 2008 Wednesday, April 2 David R. Ellis, Largo Florida Attorney, practices copyright, trademark, patent, and intellectual property law. He is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law and provided important information about what we, as writers, needed to do to protect our work. Charles spoke on his book: "The Writer Within You" A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing and Publishing in Your Retirement Years. Charles has published more than 750 articles in magazines and newspapers, spanning the country from the Los Angeles Times on the West Coast to the New York Times in the East and in Canada. His writing has been honored with numerous awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Working Press Association, the New Jersey Press Club and the North American Travel Journalists Association. Charles has served as Editor-in-Chief of Travel World International.
