Janauary 2010 Wednesday, January 6th at 7:00 pmGuest Speaker: Charrie Hazard Topic: Creativity in Poetry Location: Carrollwood Barnes and Noble bookstore The meeting will feature guest speaker Charrie Hazard, who will present a workshop on creativity in poetry after the elections. Certainly, non-poets will also be able to implement some of these techniques into their writing as well! We will be better writers for it. Charrie is a TWA member who has recently published the award-winning novel, Falling into the Sun. This book was the top seller at the TWA booth during the St. Pete Times Festival of Reading this past October! Please check out Charrie’s book and her extremely interesting life story on her website: http://www.charriehazard.com/ Back to TopFebruary 2010 Wednesday, February 3rd at 7:00 pmGuest Speaker: John Capouya Topic: Biography Blitz Location: Carrollwood Barnes and Noble bookstore John Capouya is a professor of journalism and writing at the University of Tampa. Here is a great time to get to know some new people and refresh some old acquaintances. Everyone brings a dish of something to share, a bucket of chicken, cherry-pie, pizza, or if you are so inclined squirrel or possum, whatever you want. We’re not picky, if we don’t have to cook. TWA will supply the party-ware plus sodas, beer, wine, and ice. Back to Top |
